Treanlaur holds a man-made underground passage beneath a levelled ringfort, though no entrance or marker remains visible at ground level. Local tradition preserves the passage while the earth has taken back every clue that might lead a stranger to it. The site resists discovery, keeping its shape hidden beneath ordinary soil in County Mayo.
