What is recorded here

Two large hollows mark the north-west and south-west quadrants of the Rathlogan ringfort, perhaps entrances or collapsed roof sections of a hidden passage. They sit just above the valley-to-hillside transition, facing the broad Rathlogan and Goul river valleys. A church and graveyard stand nearby, suggesting the place has long belonged to memory, ritual or refuge rather than ordinary daily life.

Just above transition from valley to hillside, at the end of a terrace along Rathlogan river valley, in rolling grassland. There are commanding views over the Rathlogan and Goul river valleys. A church (KK008-082001-) and graveyard (KK008-082002-) are located immediately ENE of the ringfort (KK008-081----). Within the interior of the ringfort there are two large hollows, one in the NW and one is the SW quadrant. These are supposedly the location of collapsed caves. It is possible that these are indicators of a Man-made underground passage, the collapse being either at the entrance and/or where the roof has partially collapsed.
