Man-made underground passage in Lyroe

In pasture, on W-facing slope. Discovered in 1988 when ground collapsed during land reclamation. At least two earth-cut chambers, both inaccessible due to debris from collapsed roof. Blocked-up construction shaft visible in one chamber. Subsequently infilled. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
