PLATFORM RATH in Maghadone, County Derry, Ireland, is a recorded archaeological site. It may have been a raised home, a watch point or a boundary marker, but the platform itself still breaks the grass like a forgotten chair. People may have climbed it, pointed from it or left it alone while the land changed around it. What is certain is that the earth was shaped deliberately, and the shape still answers the hand that made it.
