This site is located in a low lying urbanised area, with an area of forestry close by to the west. Loughlinstown House is a two storey Georgian House, which, incorporates a late 17th century core built by Sir William Domville (Bence-Jones 1988, 193). According to Ball (1901, 79) this forms the back portion of the present house.
