What is recorded here

Indicated is a crannog in County Mayo, Ireland, an artificial island where people may have built homes above wet ground. It is not a natural rise but a made place, likely forming when timber, soil and patience met the lake. The name gives no further shape, but the kind does: a small island, deliberately assembled, still resisting the water's claim to take everything back.
