What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular fairy fort in County Cork, Ireland, holding a thirty-metre diameter and a one-point-four-metre earthen bank. Stone faces parts of the ring while vegetation crowds the interior, blocking entry and hiding whatever the fort kept. It appears on the 1842 Ordnance Survey map as a circular enclosure, old enough to belong beside the fields and young enough to resist being entered.

Hachured as circular enclosure on OS 6-inch map (1842) (diam. c. 30m). Defined by earthen bank (H 1.4m), stone faced in parts. Interior and bank heavily overgrown and inaccessible.
