What is recorded here

Indicated is a D-shaped fairy fort on a Monaghan road, marked only on the 1907 map and now hidden beneath grass. Its curved scarp rises two metres, yet no entrance or ditch remains visible. The land may have worn the doorway away, or the fort may have stopped needing one.

Situated on a rise in a col with higher ground c. 250m to the W and c. 200m to the E and with lower ground to the N and S. it is depicted only on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped hachured feature on the N side of an E-W road. This is a D-shaped overgrown area (dims 26.5m E-W; c. 15.5m N-S) defined by a curved and overgrown scarp (at N: Wth 1.7m; H 2m). There is no visible fosse or entrance.
