What is recorded here
Garahaynalanim, the infant garden, is an unmarked burial ground in County Derry where children may have been laid to rest beneath soil now indistinguishable from ordinary field. Its exact position has been lost, leaving only a name that sounds like a lullaby half-remembered. The children are not absent; they are buried in the gap between knowledge and forgetting, waiting for someone to stop measuring and begin listening.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as BURIAL GROUND: GARAHAYNALANIV - garden of the infants (O.S. memoir site, unlocated). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
