Lisnapaste Fairy Fort — Report the wrong picture

Half a circle of scarped earth still stands on the ridge shoulder, forty-five metres across, its missing northern half surrendered to time or treasure hunters. The surviving bank rises like a broken jaw above the wet valley, framing good land that may have fed the people who shaped it. Whatever disappeared from the north edge, the south edge still points back at the sky, waiting to be read.

Internal diam. c. 45m. A circular area enclosed by an earthen bank only the S half of which survives well. The bank appears to have been formed by scarping the hillside externally giving a raised effect to the interior. It is situated on the E shoulder of a ridge which slopes steeply to N and S. The land about is good but surrounded by a wet valley. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
