What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Lismacool, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a south-facing slope as a D-shaped grass platform measuring 25.5 metres north-south and 22 metres east-west. A fosse and outer bank define its edges, though no entrance remains visible. A quarry truncates the southeast section while a field bank separates it from another rath to the north.
On a S-facing slope. D-shaped grass-covered platform (dims 25.5m N-S; 22m E-W; H 0.7 at N to 1.4m at W) defined by a fosse (Wth of base 3.5m; D 0.5-0.9m) S-W-NE with an outer bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 1.1m; ext. H 0.4m) SW-W. There is no visible entrance. The site is truncated at SE by a quarry and NNE-SSE field bank separating it from rath (RO016-089002-).
