Lisnaffeshy is a circular rath in Galway with two banks, a hollow between them, and a narrow rectangular gap inside that may have been a passage. It still stands in rolling grassland, not as a ruined idea but as a shape the land remembered. A person could have walked its edge at dusk, listened for movement below the turf, and wondered whether the earth was empty or waiting.

In gently rolling grassland. Well-preserved circular rath (D 38m) (GA073-113----) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. A field wall overlies the outer bank. Gap at SE could be original. There is a rectangular hollow (L 13m, Wth 2.9m), long axis running N-S, in SW quadrant of the interior; possibly a Man-made underground passage (GA073-113001-).
