Structure

A deposit (L 0.78m; Wth 0.45m) of widely spaced brushwood, laid three pieces deep, on the field surface. Three of the pieces have metal-cut chisel points. One piece was identified as willow. The site is in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1994. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
