What is recorded here

Three pieces of light brushwood on the field surface (L 0.8m; Wth 0.5m; D 0.027m). The brushwood is orientated ENE-WSW and it is possible that the pieces are re-deposited as they are set at angles varying from 20-55°. Woodworking is evidenced by metal-cut chisel points, branch-trimming and tear marks. One piece was identified as alder. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1994. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
