Structure

A deposit (L 1.06m; Wth 0.32m; D 0.16m) of three pieces of light brushwood on the field surface. Two pieces are set at angles varying from 20-45° and the third is laid horizontally. Woodworking is evidenced by metal-cut chisel points toolmarks. Two pieces have been identified as willow. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1994. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
