Structure

An ash roundwood and a peg on the field surface (L 1.68m; Wth 0.22m). The site consisted of a badly milled roundwood that may have been split and appeared to have been secured by a near vertical peg, (diam. 0.075m). It was situated in poorly humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1994. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
