The Giants Grave

The Giants Grave stands in County Leitrim, a name that sounds like fantasy but belongs to ordinary earth. No monster is recorded there, only a place people remembered and repeated. The contradiction is the point. A grave large enough for a giant may have been a boundary marker, a burial mound or a warning not to dig. In either case, the land still carries the shape of that warning.
