House, indeterminate date

What is recorded here

Situated on the S-facing slope of rising ground in an upland region with good views to the S and. The nearby possible court tomb (LE010-005----) is located 70m to the S. The remains of a rectangular house site is built into the S side of a rock face or cliff face that is utilised as the back wall or N wall of the house. It is a rectangular area (int. dims 4.5m N-S; 2.1m E-W) defined by a low grass-covered stone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.5m) which is visible on the E, S and W sides only with the rock face forming the enclosing element on the N side. There is possible evidence that the house was divided into two chambers by a cross wall although this may be just the remains of collapsed rubble from the side walls. There is no clear evidence of an entrance feature. Date of upload: 16 September, 2016
