Structure

Three pieces of light brushwood on the field surface (D 0.039m). The pieces are irregularly laid, have no apparent structure and have been extensively damaged by machinery. The material extends 1.12m NE-SW and 2m NW-SE. There is a single degraded toolmark. Two pieces of brushwood were identified as Pomoideae and willow, respectively. The site is in poorly humified Sphagnum peat. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1994. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
