Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Largan (roscommon By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a circular grass-covered area fifty metres east-west and forty-nine metres north-south on a gentle east-facing slope. An earthen bank three-point-seven to four-point-four metres wide and up to one-point-two metres high surrounds the area on the east, south and west, while a hedge marks those same boundaries. No visible fosse or original entrance remains, though the bank reduces to a low scarp at the south.

On a gentle E-facing slope at the E end of a low W-E spur. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 50m E-W; 49m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.7-4.4m; int. H 0.6-0.9m; ext. H 0.7-1.2m) E-S-W which merges into the ground elsewhere and which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.4m) at S. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance, but it is circumscribed by a hedge E-S-W. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
