Ballyadams Castle is a six-storey tower house built by Adam O'More during the reign of Henry VII in County Laois. Its defences included a murder hole, machicolation arch, and a dark oubliette chamber beneath the south tower. The Geraldines seized it during the rebellion of Silken Thomas before John Bowen received it in 1546. A later three-storey addition attached to the east side has deteriorated, while the original service tower remains remarkably preserved.
