What is recorded here
Rathnamanagh is a cartographic ghost in County Laois, a subcircular enclosure roughly thirty-five metres across that vanished from the earth after appearing on the 1841 Ordnance Survey map. Surveyors marked a shape they could still see, likely a low bank or ditch, but agricultural activity and time have since erased the ridge. The site now exists only in ink, preserving the footprint of a place that may have been a modest ringfort or something else entirely.
Rathnamanagh is recorded as a archaeological place in County Laois. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
