Church in Kyleclonhobert — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Marked on the 1841 edition of the OS 6-inch map. The site of this church was indicated by a heap of stones (O'Hanlon and O'Leary 1907, vol. 1, 192). No visible surface remains survive. Field was sown with barley at time of visit, low-lying marshy area, site was destroyed and stone was removed c. 30 years ago. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
