A monument erected by Reverend Christopher Harvey DD (1740-96) to commemorate 'GENERAL GEORGE OGLE [1742-1814] and the INDEPENDENT VOLUNTEERS of IRELAND who in the face of immediate danger by the exercise of every Patriotic Virtue GAVE PEACE and FREEDOM to their oppressed country'.
