What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Cork, Ireland. Its fence still curves northwest to southeast across pasture, marking a fifty-metre circle that maps drew as early as 1842. Low earth undulations remain south of the fence, suggesting the ring once rose higher before grazing and time softened it. The fort may have been a boundary marker, a seasonal shelter or a place where people set food for the fairies.
