Knockshough Glebe holds at least two buried lives, though the first was destroyed before it could be known. In October 1953 road widening opened one burial, and Lucas learned that a bulldozer had already crushed another nearby months earlier. The glebe gave up one body to observation and swallowed the other back into dirt.

While investigating the discovery of a burial (KD022-026----) found during road widening in October 1953, Lucas (OPW Topographical files, 1953; SMR file) was informed that, nearby to the E, an apparently similar burial had been discovered several months previously.
