What is recorded here

Indicated is a passage tomb in Knocknashee Common, County Sligo, Ireland. It sits close to the north end of flat-topped Knocknashee Mountain, within a hillfort and near another possible passage tomb. The site consists of a circular cairn and a smaller cairn-like pile on the flat top, marking the northern limit of a possible Neolithic settlement.

Close to the N end of flat-topped Knocknashee Mountain and c. 120m NE of and slightly downslope from another possible passage tomb (SL032-013002-) and within a hillfort (SL032-013001-). This is a circular cairn (diam. 28m; H 1m) towards the NW edge of the flat top of which a heap of stones has been formed into a cairn-like pile (diam. 15m; H 1.5m). This possible passage tomb lies at the N limit of the possible Neolithic settlement (SL032-013004-). Neolithic passage tomb, dating to approximately 3000–2500 BCE. Its location within a hillfort and near another possible passage tomb suggests it is part of a significant prehistoric ceremonial or funerary landscape.
