Knockatarry holds a worn oval rampart on a pasture hillock, its earth and stone bank reduced to forty centimetres while a hidden ditch circles beside it. The entrance has vanished, and modern field boundaries have cut into the outer face, yet the shape still stands out against the flat countryside. People may have lived there before memory faded, raising a home that time and ploughs gradually erased.

On a low but prominent hillock in pasture. A raised oval area (28.5m NE-SW; c. 25m NW-SE) enclosed by a much-denuded, low bank of earth and stone (Wth 3.3m; H 0.4m max.) with an infilled external fosse (Wth 2.9m). The outer face of the bank has been steepened from E-SE-S where it is incorporated into a modern NE-SW field boundary. The original entrance is not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F.
