What is recorded here

Indicated was a circular fairy fort forty metres across, planted with trees on a northwest-facing Cork slope before men levelled it into ordinary pasture. The 1842 survey still caught its shadow, but boot traffic and plough teeth erased the rest. Perhaps it resisted human ownership by becoming indistinguishable from the field, or perhaps it is waiting for someone foolish enough to stop looking.
