What is recorded here

Knockacarrigeen still holds two forgotten rings, one forty-five metres across and another twenty-five metres north-west, though grass and time have erased their edges. The land remembers shape even when the eye fails, suggesting these were living boundaries rather than dead stones. A fairy fort is simply a place where human making became so complete it stopped belonging to people.

On E slopes of Knockacarrigeen in farmland. Marked on OS 6-inch maps as a circular enclosure (D c. 45m). No visible surface trace survives. Another enclosure (GA043-107----) lies 25m to NW.
