What is recorded here

Kilree church carries a broken 13th or 14th century graveslab, its upper part split beneath a four-armed fleur-de-lys cross. It lies near the east gable of St. Bridget's chancel, smooth above and rough at the sides, with no name left to read. Whatever person it covered has disappeared into time, but the cross still points upward through the damage.

Roughly centrally placed at the E end of the chancel (0.95m from the E gable; 2.33m from the S wall) of St. Bridget's church (KK027-044001-), Kilree. A straight-sided tapering limestone slab (Wth at top 0.6m; Wth at base 0.55m; L 1.95m; T 0.13m to ground level) decorated with an incised four armed fleur-de-lys cross with stepped base. The upper portion of the slab is split horizontally under the cross-head (L 0.67m). There is no visible inscription. The upper surface of the graveslab is smooth and the sides are roughly dressed.
