What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Kilree, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies an oval grass-covered area towards the bottom of a north-facing slope overlooking a west-east stream fifty metres to the north. An earthen bank and shallow fosse define most of the perimeter, though the boundary merges into the slope on the northeast and southeast sides. No visible entrance remains.

Towards the bottom of a N-facing slope overlooking a W-E stream c. 50m to the N. Oval grass-covered area (dims 34.9m N-S; c. 26m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (at S: Wth 3m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.2m) S-W-NE, and a fosse (Wth of top 3.2-5.2m; Wth of base 1-1.7m; D 0.2-0.3m) SE-W-NE, but the perimeter merges into the slope NE-SE. There is no visible entrance.
