Burial Gd.

Graveyard

What is recorded here

Burial Gd. is a rectangular graveyard in County Limerick, Ireland, holding headstones dating to the 1790s beside the ruin of Kilmacow parish church. Its clear concrete paths and stone wall mark a place where people still walk among the dead, even though the church itself has collapsed into memory. The gently undulating terrain suggests bodies buried beneath soil that once supported life, prayer and everyday labour. What is missing is not emptiness but time, carrying names and events out of human reach while the ground remains steady under the road.
On N side of road, in gently undulating terrain. Rectangular graveyard (c. 50m E-W; c. 35m N-S) enclosed by stone wall; style and gateway near W end of S wall. Interior clear of overgrowth with recent concrete paths. Earliest headstones noted date to 1790s. Just E-of-centre ruin of Kilmacow parish church (LI030-084001-).
