Grave Yd. is a rectangular Killonahan graveyard on high Limerick ground where a medieval church once stood beneath elder, whitethorn and ash trees. The 1840 Ordnance Survey called it old and little used, yet its boundary still appears as a faint circular bank beside St. Senan's Well. People may have stopped visiting after the church fell quiet, leaving the graves to keep their own company under swaying branches.

Medieval church site (LI021-067001-) of Killonahan stood in centre of graveyard which consists of a rectangular-shaped area (approx. dims. 34m N-S x 45m E-W) enclosed by post-1840 stone wall with entrance gate at S. Graveyard boundary depicted as a circular shaped feature, probably an earthen bank on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map. Site of St. Senan's Well (LI021-068----) lies 250m to E. The Ordnance Survey described the graveyard in 1840 as following; 'There is an extensive graveyard which looks old and is not much in use. Elder, whitethorn and ash trees are growing in it.
