Ballymaglancy Cave cuts seven hundred metres through Carboniferous limestone west of Cong, keeping a dark chamber where lesser horseshoe bats still ride the air. The townland name points to a family called Clancy or Glancy, while Pollwalter suggests a mill pond beside the entrance. People may have avoided the opening because it belonged to another world, not merely because stone blocked the way.

Some 70m to the SW of a church (GA122-101004-). Indicated and named 'Cave' in Roman script on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map. According to local information, this possible Man-made underground passage was discovered during farm-building operations. On inspection no visible surface trace survived.
