Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history has thinned to legend. The soil may still hold the shape of hands that built it, though no name survives to claim the work. Locals treat such places with distance because they belong to another kind of witness. What is missing is not emptiness; it is a room waiting for a qualified visitor.
