What is recorded here

No surviving trace remains of the small gallán west of Killeacle, but local memory preserves a carved head set upon it. That missing marker once gave the landscape a visible anchor, perhaps guiding travellers or marking a boundary now forgotten. Its disappearance removes more than stone; it erases the human hands that arranged the parts and the lives that read the result.

According to the Kerry Field Club Notes (1943), a small gallán lay W of Killeacle (21); a small carved head (KE020-073001-) was found close by and placed on top of the gallán. No surviving trace.
