The 1842 OS map shows a fieldbank running immediately S of this site in an E-W direction. On the later edition of 1897, the fieldbank is still there but a track now runs along the W sector in a NW-SE direction. No visible trace survives today.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 672. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
