What is recorded here
Killadangan holds a standing stone, but human memory has not yet decided what the stone remembers. It rises beside ordinary ground in County Mayo, large enough to stop a person and quiet enough to disappear when unwatched. Perhaps it marked a boundary, a burial or a road now lost. The absence of explanation does not empty the place; it returns the question to the person standing before it.
