Standing stone

Standing stone, pair

What is recorded here

Two stones stand together in County Mayo, waiting for the world to remember why they were set free. They may have marked a boundary, honoured a dead person or simply watched the seasons turn. Their silence is not emptiness but patience, holding human life and letting go of the names that once gave it shape.
