Grave Yard in County Galway remains active beside a medieval church, marking death and memory since at least 1681. Its stone wall encloses an irregular patch of earth where modern headstones crowd around older ones, including a rounded slab bearing a Maltese cross. The graveyard is not a forgotten ruin but a living boundary between the town and the dead, still receiving what the town no longer wants to carry.

This irregularly shaped graveyard (c. 60m NE-SE; c. 58m NW-SE), which is still in use, is associated with a medieval church (GA095-051----) that occupies its NW corner. It is enclosed by a stone wall and access is gained at SE. Most of the headstones are modern but the earliest noted dated to 1681.
