Killeen Old Burial Ground

Ardcanaght is a hill of tribute where unbaptised children were buried outside Church rites. The killeen still shows as a raised rectangle on the pasture slope, its edge marked by an old field boundary. Families brought their lost infants to this liminal ground because the earth itself held a different kind of sanctity.
