What is recorded here

Crannog islands are artificial islands built in lakes. If this is one, people stacked stones, soil and vegetation until dry land appeared in water. That is a house, a garden or a refuge shaped by human hands. The lake did not give up the island. The island was taken from the lake.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ISLAND, possibly CRANNOG. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
