What is recorded here

Crannog islands are ancient raised-place islands, built or shaped in shallow lake water so people could live above drowned ground. In Derryrona Glebe, that small island may have been a crannog, a private room in the lake where fire, fear and festival shared one narrow floor. The water kept the place separate, but it also kept the story alive, carrying heat, voice and memory back to anyone who listened at the edge.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ISLAND, possibly CRANNOG. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
