Inscribed stone in Athlone,athlone AND Bigmeadow

Dated to the 16th or 17th century, the inscription reflects English political influence in Ireland during the Tudor period. The reference to "Queen Elizabeth" and the Tudor rose indicate a royalist sentiment, possibly associated with colonial administration or local loyalty to the English crown.
