What is recorded here

Inistioge is named for a fortified house that still stands, though the name has stretched into a town and the house has become one of many rooms in a larger life. The fortification may have begun as a boundary between families, fields or claims, with stone built thick enough to answer fear. People moved through that boundary until it stopped being a warning and became an address.
