Kilcolman, Ireland. Early Christian era. Church and hut on a harbour-facing slope. The small round hut leaned against the church bank, perhaps a hermit cell, a guard post or a kitchen for travellers. A person may have sat at its edge, watching boats enter Ventry Harbour and listening for the church bell. The sea, stone and faith shared one small address.

National Monument No. 10044. Kilcolman/Cill na gColmán: An Early Christian church site KE042-141001- lying on the S slopes of an E-W spur of Lateevemore, overlooking Ventry Harbour. Abutting the enclosure bank (KE042-141001-) at S is a circular foundation, c. 3.9m in diameter, its S side defined by the enclosing bank and its N side by a low stony bank no more than .3m high.
