What is recorded here

Lismacsheedy holds an 8m hut site on the W-facing slope of Cappanawalla, joined 120m south-west to a cliff-edge fort and a wider system of cashels. The arrangement suggests people moved between shelter, defence and open ground as the landscape demanded. Ros Ó Maoldúin brought the place into public knowledge, giving witness to what the slope still carries.

Lismacsheedy cliff-edge fort (CL005-018002-) lies 120m to the SW within an extensive system of cashels and hut sites. This was noted and reported to the National Monuments Service by Ros Ó Maoldúin.
