What is recorded here
Described by Quinn and Carroll (2010) as ‘A wall extends from N to S and is intersected by an E/W wall. Two huts are located at this intersection. The N/S wall is fairly well preserved especially to the S of the huts where it survives to a width of 0.9m and a height of 0.5m. It is constructed of medium to large stones mainly laid on their sides/edges to form width of the wall. Length Wall N/S 187m. Length Wall E/W 96m.
Northern hut: This hut is located at the intersection between the E/W and N/S portion of walls. It is constructed on natural bedrock in places. Mainly of uncoursed random rubble utilising some upright stones and flat slabs. It survives to a maximum of 3 rough courses. Walls abut this hut to the N and S. Wall width 1.1m, Height 0.5m. Internal dimensions: 3.4m NE/SW x 2.6m NW/SE.
Southern Hut: A rectangular / square hut in plan and built against natural rock outcrop to the E. Survives to only 1 course in height. Internal Dimensions: 3.7m E/W x 3.4m N/S. Width of Wall 1.1m, Height 0.3m.
Spread of Stones: extends from northern hut in an easterly direction. Looks too wide and regular to represent collapsed wall. It consists of a random scatter of stones located in slight hollow.'
