Hut site in Coomshanna

In bog, in a coniferous wood on the N-facing slopes of Been Hill. The northernmost of three hut sites (see KE070-081002-, KE070-081003-) which are situated on a N-S axis. The remains of a circular hut site (5.2m N-S; 5.1m E-W) defined by a moss-covered collapsed stone wall (T 0.75m; H 0.5m) which protrudes above the surface of the bog. The entrance (Wth 0.6m) at W is defined by upright stone slabs at S (H 0.8m) and N (H 0.6m). Trees are growing within and around the hut site. A second hut site (KE070-081002-) is c. 2m to the S.
